Depression and Anxiety

Treatment

My approach to treating depression and anxiety involves first of all recognizing its impact on our lives, and learning more about its root cause in order that we might restore peace and balance within.

Depression - I utilize an understanding that depression has biological or physical, sociological, spiritual, and emotional components and it affects people uniquely. As depression can range from mild to completely suffocating, I understand that treatment is imperative to live the lives we are created to live and treatment for each person might look different.

Suicide - I have extensive training and experience working with people struggling with suicidal thoughts and behaviors. As this issue is extremely personal to each individual, I value creating a safe and open space to talk about the parts of us that struggle to escape.

Anxiety - Similar to depression, I realize that anxiety is often a mixture of our biology, current circumstances in life, and our history of working hard to manage stress in our lives. With anxiety treatment, I utilize a combination of approaches to learn about our anxiety and uncover new ways to cope with it in order that we might have more freedom to live the way we desire.
